More than half of Chilean citizens said that they were less enthusiastic than usual with the president proposals- also the highest percentage ever. There is no freedom when Chilean people become completely dissatisfied.

The crux of the problem is that the president prefers to hide corruption and continues giving benefits to her coalition allies and left minorities rather than to be right for everyone.

Slowing economy, inflation, rising violence, record levels of delinquency, corruption in government offices, lack of clear public political policies, auditing and public transparency in the use of public funds are the unsolved problems.

Thus, there is no question that Chile has heightened the need for better governance to manage the national problems. Chile needs a better thinker, equipped with a powerful framework to analyze and identify possible solutions to the different challenges instead of a set of adventures and experiments that have to do less with research and its implications. President Bachelet has not been capable to do it.

Chilean Government Gives 7 Million Dollars to Political Campaign

The socialist Chilean government has completely forgotten the agenda of probity, the government citizen and the urgent problems afflicting people. Chile needs a quick modernization of the State beginning with the resignation of the directors and heads of public services elected by the executive political parties and effective control of social programs and also the transfer of state funds to corporations whose unique purpose is proselytizing the official political conglomerate. The undersecretary of the Treasury transferred 7 millions dollars to corporations of former Chilean presidents Alwyn and Frei, the Allende family, and leftist’s wings. They also receive direct state funds through the Purchase of Chile established by the president. These resources must be given to the benefit of the neediest, or to improve the failed system of public transport or simply in aid of victims of the earthquake, rather than targeted at networks linked directly with former presidents, former ministers, undersecretaries and other representatives of the coalition of government. Thus the country is not moving in the right way to solve the real problems of the people, but instead moves faster in inequality and corruption.

BACHELET AND GOVERNMENT REVENGE

The widow and five children of former President General. And just 20% were familiar with Felipe Calderon, the President of Mexico, who was elected last summer in an extremely close race that captured global headlines.

The Zogby Interactive poll included 7,362 adults nationwide and was conducted July 27–30, 2007. It carries a margin of error of +/– 1.2 percentage points.

Asked which Latin American countries are the biggest allies to the U.S., Mexico is seen as the top ally, while Brazil is seen as a close second. Costa Rica is seen as the third greatest ally of the U.S. Asked which countries in the region are least friendly to the U.S., Venezuela and Cuba predictably topped the list. But Americans listed Colombia—which has been the U.S.’s closest ally in the past decade—as a distant third.

The poll suggests that American adults are badly misinformed about the region. Most Americans believe Brazil and Mexico are the U.S.’s best friends in the region, but the great majority cannot identify the president of either country.US citizens identify two familiar adversaries in Latin America as Cuba and Venezuela.

The Bush Administration considers Colombia one of its staunchest allies in the region, backing Plan Colombia with more than a half-billion dollars per year for its anti-drug, anti-guerrilla campaign. Colombia gets more foreign aid than any other country in the world outside the Middle East/Afghanistan arc.

More than half – 56% – said they believe China’s increased involvement in Latin America represents a serious threat to American influence there. Among those respondents who identify themselves as most politically liberal, 48% said China’s increased involvement in the region represented a serious threat to the U.S., but the most conservative respondents were much more concerned – 76% said China’s activity was a serious threat to America. In Greece or Spain, for example, Tuesday the 13th takes the same role. The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia, a word that is derived from the concatenation of the Greek words Παρασκευή, δεκατρείς, and φοβία, meaning Friday, thirteen, and phobia respectively; alternative spellings include paskevodekatriaphobia or paraskevidekatriaphobia, and is a specialized form of triskaidekaphobia, a phobia (fear) of the number thirteen.

To the Chilean government, July 13th will be remembered as an unlucky day. Popular support for President Michelle Bachelet fell a deamatic eleven percent during the past six months. 41% of the nation gave a hand to the president, but only 35 percent of the Santiaguinos believed that her government is good.

Most of the Chilean people felt dissapointment of how the government manage the problems . Seventy-seven percent of those polled gave Transantiago a negative evaluation, while only 5 percent gave a favorable rating to the much maligned mass transit system. The most criticized aspects of Transantiago were the bus frequencies, the length of travel time and the quantity of buses. Sixty-two percent of those questioned said they spent more time commuting as a result of the new mass transit system, and 34 percent said the new system was more costly.

Support for former president Lagos dropped by 12 percent, suggesting that the public also blames him for the troubles of the Transantiago system, which was conceived during his government.

Then the thirteenth will be remembered by the government as a black day.

WHAT A SHAME !!!!!!!

Missing: Large lake in southern Chile

It is impossible to believe that the government didn’t notice there was a missing Chilean lake.
Suddenly, a lake just disappeared and nobody knew.. It had a surface area between 10 to 12 acres .
His lake was sitated in the Magallanes Region , Patagonia, and was fed by water , mostly from meeting glaciers.

Nobody believed that the government didn’t know about that. Perhaps it was sold out by some former ministers who used to use public funds for particular purposes.

BBC NEWS

SANTIAGO - A lake in southern Chile has mysteriously disappeared, prompting speculation the ground has simply opened up and swallowed it whole. The lake was situated in the Magallanes region in Patagonia and was fed by water, mostly from melting glaciers. It had a surface area of between 4 and 5 hectares(10-12 acres) -- about the size of 10 soccer pitches."In March we patrolled the area and everything wasnormal ... we went again in May and to our surprise wefound the lake had completely disappeared," said JuanJose Romero, regional director of Chile's National Forestry Corporation CONAF. "The only things left were chunks of ice on the drylake-bed and an enormous fissure," he told Reuters.CONAF is investigating the disappearance .One theory is that the area was hit by an earth tremor that opened a crack in the ground which acted like a drain. Southern Chile has been shaken by thousands of minorearth tremors this year.

EDUCATION

Neither the reform nor the funds will improve the quality of the chilean eaducational system.

In terms of human potential, the classroom contains two major sources for influencing behavior and development; the teacher and the students themselves.

The teacher responsibility is to seek out, organize, develop and coordinate the activities of other appropriate models and reinforcing both within the classrppm and outside. Then , the teacher must posses the characteristic to be perceived by the student as a person of status who has control over resources. This is an advantage of the educational processan the entire society.

But the problem is when teachers are poorly paid, treated as subordinates and given little freedom and autonomy by the school administration as happened most often in public schools. This reduces their influence in the student's eyes.

Moreover, the teacher must reflect not the preferences and prejudices of a particular class and thoughts of a political party, but the interests of all segments of the society in their quest for a better world.

It is also true that in the real life of a teacher trainning , most reacting innovations are required. The teachers of tomorrow must acquire both understanding and skill in the use of modeling, social reinforcement, academic qualifications, intellectual skills and qualities, and group processes in work with students.

On the other hand, it has been proved that disadvantaged students gain the most academically when thay attend classes in which the majority of them came from good families, upper or middle class. Thus, positive changes in the social class will have a grat effect on student achievement.

In large classes, the willingness to engage in antisocial behavior ( such as cheating on tests, theft, robberies) is significantly increased by the presence of a small bad minority students. The effect of a peer group on the student depends on attitudes and activities which prevail in that peer group. Where group norms emphasize academic achievement, the members perform accordingly. Where the prevailing expectations call for violation of norms, these are readily into action. In short, social contagion is a two-wary street.

There is so much to do in education, but nothing in the government proposalts to improve it.

JUSTICE

A problem that requires the services of a lawyer can become a trying experience. It doesn't matter where you are from or where you live.

The worst difficulty is language, you may think you unserstand your mother tongue perfectly when you enter a lawyer's office or a court-room. You will be relieved of that mistaken impression by the time you leave either of them. Precedents, perquisites, parties of the first and second parts (these parties are not fun at all), arbitrations and litigations will entagle and confuse you.

If someone could bottle the obfuscations and obscurities the law can present to nonlawyers, it would make a fine secret weapon.

In Chile, it's even worst since the Cumplido laws came in. Justice became not to be equal to everyone. Rapers, murderers, terrorits, kidnappers and robbers have more rights than victms. So, they have been given an incentive to grow up a pleasant environment to contribute antisocial behaviors, delincuency , juvenile vandalism, violence and terrorism. People is tired of living under fear and it's certainly time to change the language and the sense in which laws are written and proposed so that the common citizen can understand them and be protected.

CHILEANS COME LAST

In today’s world, the actual pattern of life is that Chileans come last. The government is according progressively less attention to the poorest and the middle class.

The crux of the problem is that the president prefers to give benefits to her coalition allies and left minorities rather than to be right for everyone.

Moreover, the government needs a better thinker team, equipped with powerful framework for analyzing problems and identifying optional solutions to the different challenges instead of a set of adventures, improvisations and experiments to do less with research and its implications as it is happening today.

As a matter of fact, the president Bachelet must learn the ability to think through the real problems of the nation. She should have deep insights and instinctively press to make the best answer to the several troubles she would face. She must also need the confidence to make the right decisions.

Unfortunately, the president is not as wise as the people primarily thought she would be. It seems she does not have the capabilities to succeed when it matters most and she does not command the relevant tools to yield positive results.

Thus, if the present trends continue, the government, the country and the people will finally collapse.

CHILE NEEDS A GOVERNMENT CHANGE

Chile was an otstanding and successful country, admired by the whole world , until a coalition of left political parties obtained the power in a democratic election, almost seventeen years ago.

The last two socialist governments, Lagos and Bachelet, have brought corruption, people sufferings and complains, unemployment, delinquency, juvenile vandalism, theft, strikes, fear, insecurity and a lot of lies.

The failure of projects such as the transantiago public transport, the educational and justice reforms, and other things like the fall of a new bridge, the robbery of public funds, the government intrusion in elections and also being responsive to the most human needs and values proves that Chile is experiencing a breakdown. The government has collapsed and chileans become completely dissastified.

The first woman president and her work team have committed too many awful mistakes and those haven't even assumed or solved.

It is not surprising then, that Chile is ruled by an incompetent, unprepared group of people who doesn't know how to manage the economical and social trends and also how to do the things well.

For that, the nation needs an urgently change. Other people should govern with new ways of talking and acting with bright ideas and realistic proposals for improving the effectiveness of economy, so that the country can survive, prosper and solve the deep and real problems of the poorest and the middle class. This is the only way to get a modern society where people may live in peace and in a pleasant environment as they did a long time ago.
